He holds an LL.B (Hons, 1988) from the University of Dar es Salaam, LL.M (with distinction 1991) from Queen's University, Canada and Dr. Jur. Magna cum laude, 1997 from the University of Bayrenth, Germany. He has been a Lecturer in Law, University of Dar es Salaam (1989 - 1998). Dr. Fauz has conducted Researches on various legal issues and presented papers in many symposia. He is the Author of the Book titled "The Legal Profession in Tanzania. The Law and Practice". Dr. Fauz's areas of specialty are corporate, commercial, International Business, Joint Ventures, Arbitration, Real Property and Litigation. Dr. Fauz has been consulted by a number of private and public institutions and foreign diplomatic missions and given legal opinions to several companies which are being privatized under the on-going privatization programme in Tanzania. He is a member of the Tanganyika Law Society as well as East Africa Law Society.
